ScanWise ("the app") is developed by OuzzTech. We designed ScanWise so your documents never leave your phone.
None on any server. ScanWise works offline-first. The following data is stored only on your device:
We have no servers, no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics SDKs. We cannot see, access, or share your documents — because we never receive them.
The camera is used only on-device for document scanning. Photos of your documents are processed locally on your phone and are never uploaded to us or any third party.
Your PDFs and scans are saved locally on your device only. Deleting the app (or clearing its data via Android Settings → Apps → ScanWise → Storage → Clear data) permanently removes all your scans.
ScanWise uses Google ML Kit on-device features (text recognition, QR/barcode detection, entity extraction, language detection). Per Google's ML Kit data disclosure, ML Kit may collect device identifiers and app performance/diagnostic data for service quality purposes. This collection is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
ScanWise offers an optional one-time Premium upgrade. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing and are governed by Google's privacy policy. We do not see, collect, or store your payment details.
The app does not request location, microphone, or contacts.
ScanWise contains no ads and no third-party trackers or analytics. We do not sell or share your data with anyone — because we don't have it.
ScanWise is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
